There is such freedom in surrendering our will and allowing God to come in a push us out. After a pretty crazy weekend with the enemy trying to pull some old tricks out of his hat, God demonstrated His faithfulness by revealing some truths as to what He’s up to in my life. It’s like being let in on a huge surprise party that was planned a long time ago!! I AM planned everything out a long time ago and He’s knew I needed the encouragement of knowing that I haven’t gotten off track. He loves me and knows me enough to know just what I need! By letting me in on on a little bit of what’s going on, I can rest assured that I am on track and to continue to press on.
Life is so much freer when the worry is gone and everyday is new day to step in obedience to what small thing He’s asking of us. There are blessings in every trial, too, I’ve learned. When you realize that each event is a piece of a greater puzzle, it’s much either to keep working to see it to its completion. Instead of asking “Why me?”, I understand now, today, why saying, “Thank you, Lord, for this day!” makes so much more sense. I don’t have to control anything cause I’m really NOT in control of anything other than myself. I just keep my compass pointed north and I’m good!
We may not always understand what God is up to in our lives or in the lives of others but we know that His ways are greater than our ways. If we listen to Him through His Word, we will hear Him and His constant cry to “Seek ME first” and then He’ll just tell you what to do. There is so much freedom in surrender.
